Jade smiled, grateful for the flowers and walked away. As she left she hissed in Xylo's ear so that only he could hear, "You may be the king to everyone else, but to me, you're and idiot who doesn't deserve my sister!" Jade scowled at him as she left the garden, she headed to the library to see Lillia.

Xylo ran after her, and hissed back "You think your hot stuff cause your sister queen, huh? Well I'm king, a higher position than you'll ever be."

Acan was speechless. His eyes darted around her feet to various areas around the garden. He mustered to say, " what does your grace wish from a humble servant of the queen?"

(I really like this character. He's well thought out and is truly noble and honest in his choose station in life. Bravo! Bantambird! )

Watching the 2 leave hastily, he let out a breath like releasing a girdle. Luckily birds don't sweat, or he would have been drenched. The King's last statement had him completely bewildered him. The king does not serve a servant! A king serves his people as head of the state, along with the Queen, and the people serve as the platform to royals, in order that they may effectively perform their duties without the burden of menial labour.

"Uh huh... You weren't raised with her, I'm the one she was raised with, I'm the one she trusts more, I'm closer to her than you'll ever be, I'll love her more than you ever will!" Jade paused "You think you're hot stuff because you're king," Jade said and paused again, she leaned back "Well think again!" she hissed, then shifted and flew away to the library, slamming the doors and locking them tight behind her.

Acan lumbered back to the roses. Several of the Queen's favorites had been damaged yesterday, but he transformed back into his human shape, and began pruning the bent canes carefully. If he was lucky, he might reuse some of the healthier cuttings to make more roses! He noticed the bush the princess had cut from, and took note of her preference. He would be sure to include some in the next day's nosegay.
