Acan was very pleased with the garden's recovery after the thrashing it had received. He had been able to save a few of the delicate vegetable plants through carefully staking the stalks, and some of the roses could possibly grow back from the roots if given plenty of attention. Once he was done with chores requiring hands, he shifted to his enormous terror bird self and started digging and hoeing the ground with his massive feet, and catching up any vermin he turned that might make a run for it. He was also working on building some better irrigation canals, ones that weren't reliant on outside water sources in case of a blockade.

Rayko smiled pleasantly to the young falcon that brought him the two mugs of tea. She'd even throw in some baked treats that looked quite delicious, go with them. " Thank you, lady Annabelle. Your generously knows no bounds. May you have a wonderful day." He bowed slightly, as he took the offered plate in one hand and the two mugs in the other. He then carefully walked back out to Martha in the garden.

Magatha waited patiently. She thought about all their kingdom had endured, all the possibilities for the future. There was much to see, and though not technically magic, her insight gave her an uncanny ability to see several of them. She felt it was her responsibility to help steer people to a place where they could make better decisions. This young eagle, he was so much stronger than he knew. Most of them were: it takes crisis sometimes to truely bring out a person's strength.
Magatha smiled. Yes, she thought, even though there were trials ahead, there would be victory. There would be heartache too. And, through suffering, they would find a strength they didn't know they had.

Rayko slowed as he approached. Martha looked deep in thought and he didn't want to interrupt her. He looked around cautiously, ensuring everything was still as it should be as he waited.

Once Lillia had finished fixing up her weapons, she quickly headed back to the library to once again study. She knew her days would get very repetitive, but she of course had to be as good as her mother which wouldn't be the most fun thing in the world.

Magatha suddenly noticed Rayko waiting respectfully, snapping from her introspection. " Dear, you are sweet to think of an old lady. Come, sit by me. Your conversation is most welcome to a lonely elder."

Rayko smiled happily and came to her side. He set her mug of tea and the plate down upon a stump next to were she sat. "Lady Annabelle insisted upon some sweet treats for us. I must admit, they do look and smell delicious." He explained, as he brought his own mug up to his lips. He took a tentative sip of the hot brew.

Magatha held the warm mug in her hands, savouring the heat that spread to her old bones. She blew gently over the top of the tea, then slowly sipped, letting the hot drink warm her to her toes. She exhaled contentedly." Reyko, the humans will come back. When their scouts do not return, they will find the direction they disappeared from, and then they will find us," she stated, matter of fact.
