Of course everyday is wonderful when you have chickens right? I'm a forty something living on a small 15 acre farm raising RIR for eggs and Cornish X Rocks for meat. We started with some turkeys this year and looking forward to how they progress. We also have a trio of Pekin ducks. We're having a lot of fun with these birds and learning a lot too. We have pigs that we also raise for meat. And I also keep a few hives of bees for honey. Wish we could do this full time, and we're working on that. If you know of anyone that wants the best chicken in SC send them my way! :)

Welcome to the show. My wife and I share your dream of full time farming. We're just starting out with our first flock of chickens and guinea fowl, hoping to add a couple of goats next year. I noticed you said small farm at 15 acres, that seems huge compared to our little place. We're starting with just 1 and 1/2 acres! So just remember, it's not the size but how you use it. Good luck and good fun on your venture.
