I was incubating some pheasant eggs and they just started hatching yesterday…two of them hatch by themselves but while I was away my younger brother 'couldn't wait' for the third one which had pipped and decided to help him…(I know that was stupid).when he carefully peeled the eggshell, the chick's cloaca was very bloody and he hadn't absorbed all of the yolk…what do I do…is this dangerous. HELP!

Oh, sorry to hear this. I would just put the chick back into the incubator, on a clean paper towel, and leave it in there for around 8 more hours. It might be alright.

Good luck!

I did put him in the incubator…i wont open it…maybe stable temperature and high humidity will make it work.
and btw, I just joined byc and you guys are quick!
