It's day 16....

I think that's a red-golden, but I'm not sure? I haven't seen one as a baby yet. I have 2 red-golden hens, one is a tux (sort of) and the other is not. It might be a rosetta, but I don't think so. It's not a cinnamon, it has horizontal bars, a cinnamon would look like a red 'normal brown'.

Is the one (bottom of pic) a brown? I didn't stick any of those in, did I? It is possible to get brown, I have a pharoah hen with my goldens. Most of her chicks (theoretically) should be golden, but there's always a chance for brown from her eggs

Here are a couple pictures of two more of the reddish ones.

Here is all of them including the ones I hatched from my own eggs last week. Obviously, some shuffling will have to be done tomorrow so that these babies end up with the larger brooder.

First pic looks like a red-golden and a cinnamon. The cinnamon is the one nearer the bottom of the pic, you can just barely make out stripes on it. Second pic is the same two I assume?

They are just darling, if I had any room in my bator (and could stand the smell

) I'd have to hatch me some more! I will eventually keep the 'other' colors for myself, especially the cinnamon/red-golden pen and the golden pen. I don't have many of them, and would like some more

And the tuxedos as well, they are marked so nicely!

The one on the bottom of the pic is one of mine that I hatched last week.

Yes these are two pics of the same two babies. You can't see it in the pictures but two of these reddish chicks(the first picture I posted in the thread and the bottom of the two here) have yellow undersides and yellow over their eyes and under their beaks. The other two do not have this yellow.

Yeah, that's what kind of throws me. The bottom one in the last set of pics is for sure a cinnamon, you can see the racing stripes down the back. They are sexed just like browns and goldens btw, in case you were wondering

I'm thinking the first pic is a rosetta, I'll have to find my baby pics and compare. The last ones I set didn't have any cinnamons or reds hatch, and I believe I had some that looked like yours. I don't think it's a tuxedo, I believe they just look like that. Where is Niki when you need her??

This is a pic of the tuxedo parents as babies. There are 3 dark tibetan and 1 rosetta tibetan, all tuxedo.

These are the red-goldens and cinnamons as youngsters

This is a rosetta hen, very pretty! I wish I had more of these that weren't tuxedoed.

Ok, so I think two of my reddish ones are definitely tuxedos and two aren't. Now some of the other tuxedos have red in their black patches and some don't. Humm, very interesting. I'll get some more pictures in the morning, when they are completely fluffed out.
