Its Day 20 on my first hatch

Yes, I candled them an hour ago. I left them in the incubator to stay warm. Temp is steadily rising back up and humidity is at 65% currently. One dead egg with moving fluids. One has a big chick. The third had a smaller Chick in it. None are moving yet that I could see. But I had a crappy flashlight too. I've been listing for pipping and nothing yet. We'll see. At 8:45 tonight is day 20. I hope they come out tonight. I have to work 3-10 tomorrow and if they are alive I want to be there. It's nerve wracking but we'll see.

I did candle them tonight. One is dead. The biggest one has noticeable veins towards the air sack. The smaller on has tiny veins. How close to air sack do they get before hatching? I think I saw movement in one. A slight move. I increased the humidity since it dropped. Is 75% the highest? It's at 59% right now.

They should be right up against the air cell when it's time to hatch, with maybe a little space in there but not really very much.

At hatch time they break through the air cell. If you see movement up in the air cell that means it's internally pipped. Usually it'll appear as a triangular(ish) shadow. If you tap the shell often you'll see it move and may hear a peep or tapping back. You really want humidity 65% for hatch in my opinion.

Well, I guess I won't have to worry about it. I came home to my incubator unplugged. One of my parents plugged in a can opener. I'm beyond angry. I came so far only to find them ice cold at 66 degrees with 96% humidity. I can't believe the disrespect. I just hope the can off food was worth the lives of those chicks.

Keep trying, one or more may surprise you. I've hatched duck eggs that were left by their mothers, sometimes for unknown numbers of hours in whatever weather it happened to be outside when she decided to leave the nest.
I'd warm them back up and wait a few more days at least.
That's totally not cool of your parent though.

I hope you plugged it back in to give them a chance. They can be surprising, especially at hatch time.
