Its day 29 and I havent seen any ducklings:(

Momma duck wont let me get near her ducklings. I know they are only a couple days old but I want to hold one. When I reach in, momma ducks quakes at me as loud as she can, gathers her ducklings under her. I dont want her to teach the ducklings to be scared, shes doing the same thing whenever another bird walks through the coop. Shes very over protective , how should I handle this. She is still seperated in the coop, at what point should unseperate her in the coop...Maybe if i did that would help, but I worry about the other birds picking on them...

Yep, the other birds will most likely pick on the ducklings. And she isn't being "over protective", she is following her natural instincts that most everything that moves can, will, and will want to make a meal of her ducklings. Every mother wants to protect their young. Give her some more time with them, be around them without trying to touch and she'll get used to it. But give her a few days more... Way cool about the ducklings! Congrats!
