Well, I can say its all done (the construction, electric is being run this weeked I hope

Heres a picture of the final outside. This is a little fancy for some I know. But when we were deciding to build a coop we sat and asked ourselves " Build only a coop or spend a little more time and money and build something that can have many uses down the road. So he volunteered to build me a garden shed this past spring.. I just added more to it to make it a coop (grin)

I love it.

I really like the roost idea being flat and having the poo stay off the floor for easy cleaning. I might just have to steal - umm I mean borrow - your idea there. If you don't mind.

I just took out the vinyl flooring piece for the first time this week for a complete scrubbing.. its great.. it is spotless and ready for poo again.. and the best thing is.. its cheap and easy to replace if needed.. and I chose vinyl cuz it folds in half to get out the door without touching poo residue.
