Its finally done...the coop that is, still working on the run!

Yes, everything else is recycle...The beautiful green sheet metal was scraped from the hay barn...its got a 25 ft tall roof...I was able to get 9 ft sections that were still good to use...and I went to the junk pile on guttering, corner coverings, etc

As for the roosting post I grabbed the chain saw and went a looking in the woods, wasnt really looking for hickory poles but they were the only ones worth cutting that were straight...

I have the roost setup on bolts in the 4x4's and it allows it to swing up (note the chains to catch it) to clean under it...I still have a few small things Im going to do. Planning on putting in a dropping pit, and put in two 55 gallon barrels under the guttering with a ball valve to hold water for me behind the shed.

Im using 6ft chain link fence across the back then going over top of that with chicken wire. I know i know, predators are something of concern but again the birds have been free ranging for the past 3 months and things are going well. I feel as long as i keep putting them up at night I will be ok on the fencing im using.

Thanks for all the comments!
