It's Friday, the 13th... and setting eggs

Congrats to everyone with a good hatch! Lionkitty 71, I am so sorry! I know how you feel. I set 30 eggs, and only 5 hatched. I am very thankful for the 5 that I have. This was my third hatching attempt. I just can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I thought I was doing everything perfect this time. Here is a pic of my fuzzy butts.

Heres a few pictures of my hatchlings. I was very pleased, not sure if it was me or the incubator (Hova-Bater Genesis) that did good for this hatch. I know how a bad hatch feels too.

The great news 14 bouncing health peeps. So cute, got them in the brooder, with one of those nifty Brinsea Ecoglow brooders. They are racing around like they weren't in an egg yesterday. This has been an awesome learning experience. Eggs truly are a miracle.

I so agree with you eggs being a miracle. The wonder of putting an egg in an incubator and 3 weeks later a living, breathing creature hatches with beaks, eyes, feathers and feet was truly miraculous. IN ONLY 3 WEEKS

We had 2 eggs hatch but one died Still waiting on 2 more eggs. Ones due today so we're crossing our fingers over here and trying to be patient.

It's unfortunate that we ended up have a scattered clutch like this. But luckily one of our hens seems to be going broody just in time so if we need to we can have her sit on the last egg til it hatches.

Every ones babies are lovely! 'Grats on the chicks!

Thanks! Hope it is suitable until they are old enough to be out. It's 8 ft by 3 ft Took me an entire weekend!
