It's getting hard to wait!

Hey All! We have a bunch of hens somewhere around 4 1/2 months old. I just can't wait for them to start laying

We only have 1 hen laying right now, our 8 month old Leghorn wich we got when she was 7 months. 1 egg a day is just not enough for our fam and i am getting tired of buying store bought eggs.

. Please correct me if i am wrong, Hens usually lay at 5-6 months of age????? Thanks!

Many do but some don't. I just started getting an egg or two.....now and again, from my 9 month old RIR. You never know sometimes!

mostly 6 months i have seen but i had a pain in the booty EE that waited till she was 9 months old! then 1 green egg everyday
