They can normally guess the temperature pretty close in the next 24 hours or so but around here if they say it's going to be windy, you can take that to the bank.

My body has built in barometric pressure sensors i can tell when it is going to get cold, when it is going to rain and how bad it is going to be, once it hits the sensors stop working

and i get some relief till the next change is coming

this is a new homestead, our priorities are on building sheds, coops, and bird pens. But you are right about the digging, if we had a garden we would have been PO-ed at the person that said guineas won't hurt your garden.

I'm going to have to fence the garden like we do our birds just to keep them out. Our birds aren't well behaved like Zaz's are.

You want to keep the birds out of your winter garden you got to plant them some of their own, my guineas have never messes with my gardens , they nest in them where it gets thick, ain't nothing like stepping on a nesting guinea when trying to reach for a tomato in the food forest

Remember when you got that beautiful winter garden it it can be pretty inviting once everything else turns brown.

Got to let the birds take advantage of it though, so I let Poppie out to roam because he promised he wouldn't spend the entire day napping and pooping on my back porch. Poppie is an IBBS that is split to white and probably carrying a copy of WE as well. When he was a youngster he had red flights mostly and regular eye feathers, but as he's aged his flights have all turned white and every year more eyes have a white spot in the center. He is probably around 12 now. This was him earlier this summer.
