Tonight the wind chill is supposed to be 14.

It was so pleasant yesterday and today it quickly started cooling off. This morning it was 70 something out and then it went down to 30 something very quickly. Today is the first day of my Spring Break and I hope there will be actual spring weather at some point during my break. I really want to go swimming at the beach! Ooh and maybe go tubing down my favorite river!!

Below zero here again tonight,hopefully this will be the last time. Next week temps in the 50's and sunny.Peas will want to go outside but I've seen some very bad ice storms and very cold Easters here before so they will just have to suffer a bit more.

It is around 32 deg here in the Florida panhandle.

Makes me want to snuggle up with one of the peafowl cause they have nice warm feathers - which reminds me...In my new aviary we are planning on making a platform up high in the shelter and we are going to fill it with hay and the peas can sleep up there if they want or sleep on the perches. I made a joke to my Dad that the platform would be big enough that I could sleep there at night with the peafowl - but actually I think that would be a pretty funny thing to do and I might go for it when we get that build and have peafowl in there.

Alright well now it is time for me to roost in my bed since it is already tomorrow.

This past February set a record low which beat the past lowest temperatures for our region by a few degrees. Apparently it did not get above freezing all month so as we near spring I cannot wait for a heat wave in the upper thirties and forties as we are supposed to get next week. DylansMom how much snow do you have?

I think we have had snow cover since Nov. or Dec. so it isn't even snow cover now, it's ice cover and I hate walking on that....too slippery.
