congrats!!!! I had a 1 hatch today aswell, and another has pipped.(I only have 2 eggs in the bator) ..guess we are hatch buddies...or something like that lol.

Thanks, and congratulations to you, too. It seems that we have quite a few hatch buddies today. Even a turkey.

So far I have four black and yellow chicks, one reddish-gold chick, four pips, and four lazy eggs. Since these are mixed layer breeds, I have no idea what will come out - and I was surprised when the first three looked identical!

I just got a solid black chick out of a green egg. Now I have for black with yellow, one reddish-gold, one solid black, three pips, and four lazy eggs. So far, so good.

The new chicks are still roly-poly, so I thought I should wait until tomorrow to get their pics.

I'm worried that something might be wrong with the reddish-gold one, because the other chicks are picking on it. I've had to separate them.
