Why is it that whenever you plan to have something done in a certain time frame, that it takes about 14 times longer to get it done than planned? The Chicken Taj is barely liveable. Chickies said, we dont need no stinkin furniture, we just wanna move in! So I got a tarp and nailed it to the floor and sides; figured it will be much easier to clean that way, and will save the floor. Im going to put a lot more shavings in; Ill get them tomorrow. I have 5 young hooligans who were flying out of their brooder in the house, so I decided they could be the first victims. They are from Jody's eggs....2 Aussies, and 3 Araucanas. See them waaaaay back in the corner? They are staying in for now; I dont have their run set up yet. I think they probably have enough room for now, don't you?
I am going to eventually divide it up, the main part for main group of chickens, with roosts and laying boxes, then a corner or two for breeders, with doors out to a different smaller run. All kinds of ideas, with very little mental or physical ability to do it. Oh well, it will get done.
