I got my Accu-Rite hygrometer from WalMart for 12 dollars. Lowe's usually has them too, for about the same price.

Thanks, Dawn! I checked Wal-Mart, they didn't have any, so I got a Flukers hygrometer+thermometer at Petsmart.

Day ten today, and candling results are all but two of ten are developing, and they're VERY active! I'm very excited. I've had a few problems with temps and humidity but that doesn't seem to be affecting them much. Everythings been good now since I moved the bator into another room. Fingers crossed all the eight that are developing hatch!

Way to go!! I candled my 4 duck eggs again last night and I think we might have lost one, I can't tell, but the air pocket is suddenly bigger and kind of crooked. They are green eggs and hard to see through!

All the bantam eggs are developing, and three out of five standards are developing. The two brown ones are hard to candle.
