So i started letting my girls out longer during the day because i wanted them to free range more, i'm not sure what started it but they decided to lay their eggs all over the yard! I have to go searching for the eggs every day when i get home now. How can i get them to lay in the boxes again? I dont want to lock them up if i dont have to, but i might have to if they keep this up.

Good luck. when there was no snow half my birds would go in the neighbors pasture and lay eggs.

My kids would love the challenge and it would give them something to keep them busy... where do you live... lol j/k You should round up some kids and tell them to hunt the eggs.

I occasionally find one in the run. But even though they have a nest box.. they wont use it. At least it seems like they have certain places they lay. Except when they just CAN'T make it back in in time
