It's like Bumblefoot ,but with no scab...what is it ?

When you work on it again, get some current pictures, that would be helpful in making any recommendations. The product you have may be fine, I just don't know. I did a bit of research and it appears that the iodine wound sprays I find are just a lower % of iodine, povidone iodine is usually around 9 - 12 % and the wound sprays I looked at were all in the 1% range. So it likely won't do any harm, it may work at that strength, I just don't know since I have no experience with it. But work with what you have, and fingers crossed.

Well I didn't get pictures as i forgot once i got started, but i made the Sugardyne paste you suggested, and used it today after rinsing wound with iodine spray...my concern is...after i looked at the leftovers in the tiny dish i'd mixed the sugardyne in hours later ,i discovered that it had hardened in the dish like cement...so I'm wondering dang what am i going to do if i take the wrapping off and it's hardened like cement or epoxy on her foot like it did in the dish...hard as it is in the dish i doubt it would would just rinse off...so do i have to start soaking her foot again in warm water epsom salts to get old Sugardyne paste off so i can apply new? Or..maybe under the bandage it won't harden like a rock due to moisture under the bandage...or.. I don't know...just wondering

It won't be hardened in the foot, it will most likely be completely gone. One of the reasons I like the duo derm bandages is that they help keep it in there and maintain the moisture better. So reapply daily if possible, if more pus generates, clean as much as you can out before reapplying it. It may take a while, but the pus generation should start to reduce, until it's not doing it any more. Then you continue every day, every other day, every third day, as needed by the foot and it should slowly start to heal. It is not a rapid process, but it does work. I continued the sugardine until there was no more visible raw tissue, and kept bandaging until it was completely healed, changing as needed.

Since the wrapping was coming off,i resprayed iodine wound spray to clean it it first, the Sugardyne was gone as you had said, and it was dry instead of wet and moist like when i was using the triple antibiotic ointment,so the sugardyne certainly seems better, drying it out and closing up the wound,...the wound had remained completely open when i was using antibiotic ointment for a week. Even though there still appears to be a bubble...there still appeared to be a bubble when i had emptied it to the point of being an empty cavity, but skin was still stretched out in the bubble shape. So i'm definitely liking the sugardyne, and don't think i'll ever use antibiotic ointment on it again. I'm kind of wondering what the name is for a chickens foot infection when it does not have a Bumble ( the Kernel ) from which bumblefoot gets its name...without a bumble, it technically can't be bumblefoot...so heres the pictures 24 hours after first sugardyne treatment, remarkable improvement

Glad it's looking better. It is possible that you might have to remove the dark part and clean it out again, just depends on how it goes. The duoderm bandages I used (I get them on amazon) work very well for holding in the sugardine (it will still be gone when you change bandages), and also help maintain the moisture, which can help the healing, and helps it heal from the inside out, rather than healing the surface and trapping anything inside. Just something to consider.
I think bumblefoot got it's name more from the limping (bumbling around) caused by the infection than from the core sometimes found.
Hope it continues to improve.

Well Coach, i've got to be honest with you,..when you said i might have to remove the black scab from the crosscut i made ,i was thinking " What the heck, doesn't this dumb@$$ know that the scab is from my cutting her foot open healing " but...today when i replaced her bandage,i squeezed the ball around all edges and the scab started coming loose around edges,so i went ahead and gently pulled it off,and it came as what sort of appeared to be like a kernel this time,so i was pretty happy about that, even though it wasnt very big,and the skin is still in a ball, but i packed the hole full of Sugardyne this time instead of just the outside like when the hole had closed up. So i feel really good about this. Because she is such a prolific digger, digging body sized holes daily in her large coop ,sometimes i end up having to replace the bandages daily because they're coming off,not because i wanted to too. Anyway, its not a big kernel, but i'm really happy with it,and i could see nothing else at all in the hole, and the sugardyne hasnt had the chance to be packed directly into the hole yet, just doing a great job on top of it,now i'm extremely pleased at the thought that it will do even better now.

That made me laugh! No problem! I'm glad it's looking better though. When the opening closes up and there is still bacteria/infection in there, it regenerates, regardless of how the opening got there. The repeated use of the sugardine will inhibit the bacteria growth until you finally get it all. So it can take a little while, every foot is different. You definitely had some regeneration of pus there, but it was much smaller. When it's healthy scab, it just looks different, not so black. Kind of hard to describe, but you will know the difference when you see it. Swelling should slowly reduce, sometimes if there is regeneration you can feel it under the skin as harder bits. The ones I have done, if the swelling isn't going down slowly, or it's getting larger, it often means it needs to be cleaned out again. It's a slow process, so patience is needed.

Coach, i took the bandage off today and there's no scab left , appears all healed now, the skin is still loose there from being stretched out i think. So after looking it over i just put 1 final spray of iodine on it for no good reason, and did not re-wrap it . What do you think ? Hopefully i didn't jump the gun.
