I see some red color in there!

There is some red. We have to wait to see how red. This is the hardest part waiting for them to feather out.

Some of them are Gen 2. Some of them are from Jody's buffs.

When I get a few more pullets from his line I will rotate out the hens I hatched from Jody's eggs and have him with only his pullets. That's where we should see some real magic happening with his color.

Wonder if Meg's first baby will have any red on it later? Sorry about the second one. More eggs will be on their way soon!

They are in the other bator and are due thursday or friday. When I candled them as I moved eggs into the other bator for hatching all 12 were moving around and active.

It isn't fluffy yet. But in a day or two we'll be able to tell what the down is colored better. Right now it just looks black.
