And man, that name fits him perfectly. He is one fiesty boy. I don't ever think I will be able to be a mother. I am upset because my sweet little chick chick is turning out to be an adolescent boy. He runs from me anytime I come within 5 feet of him. The only time he lets me pet him is when he is ready to get in bed. He is about 3 months now, and is cock-a-dooing (he has not gotten the whole thing down yet) and discovering his sex drive. Is this normal at this age? His girl Coccolina just died a couple of days ago, and now he is trying to mate with the 6 week old chicks

They don't know what the heck is going on. We have break it up by chasing him away (poor guy

). At first I thought that he was attacking them. I can't wait to hear what the neighbors think about the sounds of chicken sex in our backyard

Then every once in a while he will try to mate. He doesn't know what he wants. He is mourning the loss of his girl, I think he is just frustrated in every way.
