Jefferson WI now allows backyard chickens!!! That was well worth my time and effort. Good luck to all of you who are journeying down the same road with your towns/cities.

Wow! Congrats!!!

I am lucky we moved to a town that is chicken friendly. The one I lived in before and grew up in wasn't which is funny because it used to be all farm land.....come to think of it wasn't a friendly town in general if you were under 70 yrs old.

Read the article...First Congrats!! Second that alderman is a humbug..He'd probably be one of the first individuals to complain if his neighbors owned chickens. My goodness, I'm glad it worked out for you and everyone in Jefferson.
