its only been a year and one of my hens has stopped laying for a few months now. what to do???!!!

it has only been one year and my wheaten oegb has completely stopped laying for a couple of months. is this normal? if she was clogged she would be dead already. any answers? i dont know if this is normal or not.

no its almost fall. in the peak of summer.

Some of ours have taken a break the last couple of months. We think it's due to the hot weather.

Has it been a year since she started laying or what?? If that is the case, she may be molting.

yeah its been a little over a year. at one point she stopped laying and was crowing in may or june. then she started laying again. what gives??? she isnt losing feathers either. we keep her alone in a coop above another coop. could that have any effect? shes been up there since like... may to june. and also when will a buff orpington go broody after she's been laying for like almost a month?

Not speaking from experience, but my father-in-law used to swear that a crowing hen has worthless as an egg layer.

well her breed is show breed. and show bird dont lay very well. her breed will lay about 50-100 in a year.
