We had 2 ft. piled up on the ground here, then got another 8 " with high winds. It's so bad here they have pulled the snow plows in off the roads. Horrible wind chills and huge drifts again. Everything we had cleared out is now drifted shut again. HOWEVER, the good news is that it is forcast to be near 30* ABOVE on Mon.
In NW GEORGIA here....been snowing since just after lunch. About 1" on the ground with another inch or two forecast for tonite. City is in a panic (as usual with snow) as we have no snow removal equipment, salt trucks, etc. Schools have already been canceled for tomorrow...we southerners are "snow whoosies"
If everyone will just "chill out" it'll be gone in a day or so

Hey now - how are you getting 30 degree weather on Monday - I'm in Des Moines and we are supposed to have a "high" (if you can call it that) of 21!

SO NOT FAIR!
Our high today was -2. But come next week I think Tuesday we'll be up to 40! Time to break out the shorts and tank tops!
(doesn't last long, but even one day above freezing is a gift!

Holy moly! We don't have it that bad, its very very cold but not much snow coming down!
That picture is from Shelby County Iowa. The Iowa DOT has a whole bunch of pictures that the snowplow crews have been taking. The worst stuff is in W, NW Iowa. I'm not familiar with Sandhills Nebraska - just knew you were in Nebraska and they have had some of this same crud there.

Well the sandhills stretch quiet far so its hard to tell where I am exactly! (the thing to do on the internet!
) but I'm in Central Nebraska, and we've got some snow, but not that much, I can see the ground in places where the wind blew the snow away - our drifts are only around 3 feet or so...
The bitter bitter cold isn't fun, I can't stay out for long in this kinda freezing, its going to be -39 tonight with windchill, at those temps I just can't breath anymore!
It's not snowing here in upstate New York but we have about 14" on the ground from all the other storms.I am in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains way east almost on the Vermont border. It's 25 degrees out right now and thats warmer then it's been in awhile.
