My attire does not change, year round. Oh sure, I take them off every couple months to wash them, but that makes me hard to locate during the long, dark winter months.

Speaking of the endless winter nights already upon us, even here in "sunny" "warm" BC, my clever hens have taken to the frozen tundra like Eskimos. They have busied themselves building suitably filthy pits in the dry dirt under the deck.

I've gotten lucky with adult bird diseases, but not so much with my first year of chicks.
