Thanks! We got a text right after I posted and then we checked Newsday's website. I don't think there is a school on the island open today, unless its way out east maybe. I am going to bake all day (after shoveling out the cars).

NH here and we already have over 6 inches, start up about 9:30pm last night,
weather forcast is calling for 14 to 18 inches in some places before it all said and done.
they are also asking that if there is no need to venture out to please stay indoors. I am guessing the plow drivers are having a bad go of it.

Home from school for the day. We got somewhere between 8 and 10 inches. Not sure if there's a little more coming or if we're done.
