LOL - I only have 2 ameracaunas, both from Whitmore Farms. Actually, its going to be a mix of leghorns, rir's and black copper marans! Only have marans roos left though ...

I went on Craigslist and got my local....they were good quality chicks and I didn't have to wait..

I try to help out our local farmers when I can....and you get to look at the chicks before you are commited to purchase....

Mine BO chicks are GREAT they didn't have any mites or anything...they are 3 weeks old and growing like a weed....

anyways its something to think about...at least your order wouldn't get lost.

It was enough waiting already! today is the 6th business day and I called and called and called.....the line was still busy like 2 years ago when I ordered from them. I was counting! they answered on the 6th call

I even memorized cackle's number!

anyway, I was impatient enough that I decided to call and ask what was going on well, this nice lady answered and I was so shocked that they answered! I told her that I ordered some chicks last week and I hadn't received an e-mail with the shipping date. She asked me for my 'confirmation' number and I did had one but it was in here (in my laptop) and it was turned off. So she asked me for my name and she said that she saw my order today!!!!!!!! and here comes the embarrassing part -- She said that she had sent me an invoce in the afternoon and that they would be shipped April 7th!

I think that I just wasted their time! I did look on my e-mail and they did send me an e-mail.

oooops. So now starts the waiting

cross your fingers so that I have a good number of pullets!

Well thats good! I am getting mine on Thursday maybe Friday and dread it! I wish i was as excited as you are on this. I just wish they would hurry up and grow up haha. Well the waiting part is the most annoying part. The silkies I am mad at you over I really want some more white ones. I am getting 22 Production Red Pullets, 4 rooster, 2 Black australorps????? and 1 rooster, 1 Americana female?? and rooster, 15 white leghorn females and 2 roosters and they said that they would put proabably 6-7 more in there

Oh and dis you get cocidiosis medication too? Or do you feeg them medicated? I had mine vaccintaed for mareks but never did think I needed to get them vaccinated anymore. I give them "medicine" by letting them free roam on bugs, grass and sometimes throw some scratch out there. When one gets sick I give her a shot of Baytril and keep her away from the other chickens for about 1 week and then shes happy as she could be.
