..... no, I don't feed them medicated chick starter/grower. I don't think my feed store carries that :S there's a TSC really really far from my house and they do have medicated chick starter/grower only if they were closer I would buy that. I always take care of my chickens so as far as I know I haven't gotten a sick chicken! although, when I was a beginner I freaked out most of the time when I thought they were getting sick or something, but now I know that that's what all chickens do

normal behavior.
I still remember when my neighbor gave me one of her hens and she was SICK! it looked like she had mareks. My chickens were vaccinated so I didn't had to worry too much about them catching it, but I did cull the hen.
Well congratulations! I know the waiting for that email is pure h#ll! Since we ordered about the same time and Im not getting mine till the end of April...I wonder what I ordered thats making it take longer? Heres what im getting:
2 Royal Palm Turkeys
5 White Leghorn Pullets
1 White Leghorn Cockerel
5 Silver Laced Wyandotte (SR)
5 Light Brahma (SR)
Im ok with getting mine a little later..I have some fencing to put up and I still need to paint the coop.
but i'm going to finish re-building it this saturday. I'm pretty sure they turkeys are the one's slowing the order or it could be the wyandottes....I think the wyandottes
No mine are from Sandhill preservation in Iowa...Now if any of the Missouri hacheries had Red and Light Sussex I would order from them since I am in Missouri.

I went with Cackle because Im in N.E. Oklahoma and they are about 6 hours away. I figure Ill get my chicks within a day.
Totally off the subject but its so cute I wanted to share...Im making a sign for my coop and I needed a good name. Im going with "Mother Cluckers Coop"!
