It's strawberry season...

Can the babies have some... I've been wanting to give them some treats, but didn't know what other than yogurt I could give them.

They are under a week old so I'm hesitant to give them anything other than starter... My son dropped a cracker crumb in the brooder and I almost had a heart attack! Tell me that since I'm a new chicken mama I'm overreacting!!!!!!

They may be a little young yet for strawberries. What I would do is freeze the strawberries or the tops (with a little berry attached) and when the chicks are a few weeks older, and have access to grit, you can break them out, thaw, and they will have a great time!

GREAT!!! I'm so excited! Mommy loves strawberries so why not the babies LOL!

I hope I don't get into them before the babies can though...

mine liked strawberries and rasberries at that age... i just pulled the top out about an hour later when they were done pecking it to death....

mine go crazy for strawberries they have them everyday now that there in season.
