I don't know if she does poultry, but she's a certified avian vet. If she doesn't do poultry, she'll know who does.

And you don't have to test every bird. Only test one; the rest of them have the same thing. Explain that you have a flock problem (when you're calling) and could you bring one in for a culture and sensitivity so that you can treat them and know with what you're dealing.

Well I got back from the vet. Apparently they have something call I think conjunctivitis (pink eye) and they gave me eye drops to use on all of the sick birds 3-4 times a day per birds. So I guess its infectious and once its gone it doesn't carry to eggs or other birds so phew. Thank God. The thing is that when I questioned the vet about getting all of my birds tested anyway just to be safe he says that the DOA only checks for one disease (cant remember the name, not MG) and even if they only slightly think the flock has it, its an automatic mass slaughter of my whole flock. Has anyone ever heard of this before? I haven't. My head hurts. I'm so confused!!!

Hey, I Talked To You Yesterday And I Have The Same Symptoms As Your Birds Have. How Much Was The Vet Bill? I Might Have To Do This To Mine Also Because It Is Spreading And I Am Freaking Out With A 120 Birds!!! Please Help!

Good on the eyes, though that doesn't sound at all right to me but ok.

By the way, vitamin A is very important to ocular health. If you supplement with it, it will help your birds heal faster and possible fix a problem that might have caused this in the first place.

Actually the vet is an avian certified vet. I feel bad because I listed her and usually they're way better than usual vets. But pink eye? I don't buy it either. NOt one bit.

Perhaps that's how she tried to explain it but in the least she should have done a culture unless there were budgetary factors involved.

Is it possible the birds had a virus (for which there's no medication) and secondary conjunctivitis?

If someone goes to her for their own birds, well to ANYone for your own birds, please get a culture done so you know exactly what bacteria.
