Eh she is being a chicken. I use to have leghorn hens and I pet one till it fell asleep

I heard sometimes hens do that because they want to be bred with.

Well going broody is a hormone kinda thing. My hen was already laying. I got like 20 chicks from that 1 hen

Well I had to incubate them but sadly my dad repaid her for her hard work by butchering her and her friends.

Aw! We don't butcher animals at my place, we feel bad, if we raise them we feel like we betray them, like the hand that feeds them kills them. So we just have a pet farm.

My dad felt it was right since they were part of the family they should become part of us. But I didn't like the idea.

At least we didn't butcher our Turkey's or ducks or rabbits :/
