Itty Bitty Chicky Committee!

I don't blame you it would be the same with me

I need to hurry, too. But they HAVE to be pure bred or else they'll get mad, I'll probably have to take back a mutt, and they'll be unsatisfied!:/

Do you breed your birds in a breeding pen to prevent cross breeding or do let them do their own thing. I used to let my birds do their own thing and plus I would have a hen of one and a rooster of another it was impossible to get purebred with my birds

I need another coop so the other smaller coop will be the breeding coop.

Cool. Before I hatched my first eggs, I would trap a hen and a rooster together for breeding. The hen didn't appreciate being bred with a less dominate rooster, and the dominant rooster would come running to stop him, I had to hold him back

LOL :P I'm sure the less dominant rooster was thankful XD.

Nope. You should have seen him, he came running jumped over the fence and would kick the mating rooster off right in the middle of it

I know but I needed good fertilized eggs. Do you know what sucked though, that only 2 chicks were the mating Roosters chicks. You could tell because the dominant was a Tetra Tint and the breeding rooster was a Rhode island Red so the chicks that had white were the dominant and the ones with brown and black were the breeding Roosters and I hatch 48 eggs!
