itty bitty chicky commity!

I'm glad to hear that your eggs are on track Peep-Chicken!

Before I began the process of encouraging my little broody to join the rest of the flock before she starves herself, I candled her last batch of eggs. Just for extra irony, one of them was not, in fact, empty. It was rotten! Looked deceptively chick-like for a minute there, but the people over in the incubating eggs section helped me to confirm that the absence of blood vessels was not promising.

At least the chickens managed to produce some manner of life, even if it was only bacteria!

Is anybody else getting snow? What do your bantams think?

My chickens think it's white deathXD

I'd love to, but alas I cannot. I am already totally preoccupied with a series of as of yet unwritten English papers.

Thanks for inviting me though!

Thank you. :) The guys in the picture with the fall leaves? Those were some of my blue Silkies. They were sooo cute!

My Sebright cross hens are half the size of that rooster, too. ;) It's delightful how small they are. Your Pekins are going to be sooo adorable! All of that fluff in such a small package.
