Nope, not thrips, although we have seen those in the yard.

Really? I really hate chemicals and the Home Defense Max was bad enough. I was thinking of taking the container of feed out in the yard and hosing it down and wiping everything downstairs that has them with a clorox wipe or something

I'm OK with chemicals. I'm a better living through chemistry kinda guy.

I'd just be more worried that if they moved throughout the house, it'd be years to get rid of them. I had those stupid moths that come in birdseed infest my house many years ago. Took a couple years before I finally got rid of them all.
Little creeping things would be so much worse, than moths & catepillars.
Do you know if they live in the man cave, and had a population explosion from the abundance of food, or came in with the feed?

pretty sure, almost positive those bugs come out of or onto old feed esp aged sweet feed. maybe the bag was old or had an old bag near it where the bugs came off of onto your bag. when you wipe them with your hand its like slippery. have seen them many times before. i dont think they will hurt you or your home they just come out of old feed

I read that Bay leaves added to bird seed will stop the moths, and I had moths last summer.
This year I added bay leaves to a bag of black oil seed (price has sky rocketed since then), and so far it appears to be working.
