Ivan 'the lone jungle fowl' has developed a green tint on his tail feathers. The green only shows up in some light like an oily residue colour (color). Could this be a hint of a male?
Say it isn't so! He (she) is eight weeks this coming saturday and we only have this one chicken, if its a boy, im afraid its back to the safari park and the end of chicken ownership for emma and I. If its a hen then we get to keep her and get her a companion and a brand new eglu.
Its all or nothing. We will be very upset to get rid of him if it turns out to be a boy.
I'll get a picture of the tail up as soon as Ivan is still long enough to take a picture.
Green tint tail? Boy or girl?
