I just want to say that I have become completely obsessed with sitting out by my Bobwhite's pen and watching them. They certainly are fascinating and I just LOVE the noises the make![IMG]

I haven't gotten around to putting a nest in the pen for them and would love for them to have one. What kind of nesting area should I make for them?

If there isn't a sand box, put one in and watch the fun. I had taken mine out for a few weeks b/c I didn't have any sand. When I finally replaced it, there was a rush of quail to frolick in the sand! Now they all lay the eggs in it too! Mine is just 1 1/2'x1 1/2'. I cut some scrap 2x4's for the wall, and it has a plywood base. I put playground sand in it. They LOVE it!
