I've been bitten ! 😱

@Crestcrazy2 As a Registered Nurse, you have no idea how lucky you were yesterday. Not to sound like a jerk, but you could easily be dead or not have a leg today. Snake bites are nothing to stop and think about or look up on the stupid net. Next time get someone to drive you to the hospital ASAP. I am so glad you are okay, you really dodged a bullet!!

You don't sound like a jerk, don't worry .
I'm thankful your here cuz I have a question , how often do you guys give antivenom for cop bites ?

Also I know don't trust the net and I would've had someone take me to the ER if i felt I needed to go ! And will plantain help or not ?

I don't know of plantain's snakebite uses, but it's used for other things and is effective. I have a 75 year old employee who uses it regularly for his leg. He says it (topical application of leaf) reduces swelling and pain, makes his knee feel and function better. A 45 year old friend of mine says daily drinking tea (for a few years now) made from plantain leaves has helped her greatly with uterine fibroids.
To clarify, this is not a banana. This is a plant brought to north america from europe.
I have read the lance leaf plantain is more powerful than the regular round-leaf

I don't know if you would want to increase urination with a diuretic to reduce the swelling?
Or increase blood flow in the area to help heal it faster and clear out junk that could accumulate there.

Those would be normal things to do for a swollen injured limb. But I'm not sure about the venom aspect. I wouldn't necessarily want to pump it around your body faster. Usually you try to not spread it around the body by staying "calm" and not running around while you try to get to the hospital. Maybe you're beyond that point and the venom you got is spread. I really dont know.
Dandelion (herb) , comfrey (herb: provides allantoin for tissue healing), milk thistle seed (standardized to have a decent amount of silymarin: https://www.gaiaherbs.com/products/...pSe8rcLHhm72dEoWIZd5NIu5ndWyg07xoCjGAQAvD_BwE )
and staphysagria (homeopathic pills) , arnica for stimulating blood flow in the area, promoting healing, and reducing bruising, pain, and swelling (also homeopathic, topical and pills) might be useful to you.

Anybody know whether this venom is mainly processed by the liver or the kidneys? Support those organs

I know it's not a banana ! 😂
I glad your friend is having success with it !

Milk thistle can regenerate fatty livers from alcohol abuse, its also one of the very few things that can save people who have eaten poisonous mushroom.

I see you know! :lol:It's on your foot! But the nurse said forget the plantain. Maybe she's thinking bananas.
