Thanks for all the welcomes! It may be good for him to be able to get into the coop. I've seen lots of raised coops though, and it seems pretty difficult to make it easily accessible. Is there something wrong with having a coop on the ground? The only thing I can think of is more/less susceptible to predators and more/less ventilation.
