I have found that those Silkie mixes are aggressive! I breed silkies and love their sweet temperaments. I had someone give me some mixes and they were naughty! The rooster almost killed one of my Silkie hens. I wouldn't take them.

They aren't mixed, just hatchery quality.

I can tell you those are not purebred. They may be high percentage but there are some generations in those birds that are something besides Silkie.

I would say only you know what your goals are, if to have full breed Silkies (these might be off the scale) or to just expand your flock, why not?
