For some reasong (senior moment???) I removed my eggs from the auto turner to lay flat two days to early. Looked at the calendar wrong is all I can think. Is there any chance that any can make it? On top of that they were expensive shipped eggs!!

As long as the air cells were adequate (I say this cause I assume that you went into total lockdown and upped the humidity) they should be perfectly fine. A chicken egg does not actually need to be turned after 2 weeks. I actually stop turning mine now at the end of day 13. Good luck with the hatch.

I wouldn't worry, that is a very minor thing! I forget all kinds of stuff all the time... with all the details it seems impossible to remember them all!

Thank you so much. Now hopefully I haven't blown it again. When I realized what I had done, I gave them a little roll.. Hope I haven't blown it twice!

A little roll shouldn't hurt them! I have turned eggs all the way up until hatch because I didn't know what day they were on and they hatched out just fine.

You should be good. They only need turned until day 14. But if you just turned them again now it should still be fine. They will have time to get themselves situated to pip.

Chill! Mama hens don't sit on the sharp pointy ends of her eggs. Their eggs lay on their sides during natural incubation. Eggs are stood on end because:

1. You can fit more eggs in an incubator that way.

2. This is the only way a machine can turn eggs gently during incubation.

#. Repost and tell us how your hatch went.

Well, I just took the ones that did not hatch outside to see what happened. There were only a couple that started to form and didn't make it. The rest were unfertile. I didn't candle them.
I was able to hatch out 4 Lemon Cuckoo Orp, 2 Jubilee Orp, and 5 Blue Orp. None of the Golden Lace Orps hatched. So I ended up with 11 out of 25. One of the Lemon Cuckoo was deformed so I had to put it down. Bad spradle legs. :( So that makes it 10.

It appears that it is harder to completely ruin a batch after all because I did about everything wrong with these little guys. :)
