Time for a huge THANKS to all who are remembering to vote each day.
Also, a request for more participation... I finally found out what it really takes to win this thing... the leader has over 11,000 votes. I still believe I can do it.
Here's what I'm doing.
1. I've incorporated the "blog for a year" link into as many signature files as I can at each forum I visit... that's a minimum of 12 different forums. Some are about women who farm, some are about homesteading, some are more about sheep, some about gardening, and of course this one... the BYC Forum.
2. I belong to a couple of "blogging traffic exchanges. In addition to taking the time to view other blogs and leave comments, I also am able to direct traffic to my own blog.
3. I have the "Blog for a year" badge on my main blog. That's the easiest way to vote for me, unless you've saved my "Blog for a year" voting page. Since I also add frequent new content to that blog, visiting it, and leaving comments really helps, too.
4. I'm "putting my money where my mouth is" by donating to the Blog for a Year fund. Doing so, helps pay both for the contest, and also rewards me with more exposure. It helps to show I'm really serious about this contest.
Ok, here's where I stood as of last night at 6pm MDT.
Current Rank: 72 of 168 (you want to be #1)
Total votes: 75
Total donations: $10

Help Shari Blog for a Year
Here's what I really need for y'all to help me with...
Please, VOTE FOR ME ONCE EACH DAY FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR.
Just ONE person voting for me daily for the rest of the year adds 139 votes. Imagine what happens when you vote for me, and then get a friend or two to do the same...
For my part, I'll reward you with frequently updated stories of our farm experience and also I'll continue to find great resources. Have you checked the sidebar of my blog recently? There's a lot of good info.
Also, I'll be writing a story about raising our chicks for an online magazine about small town living. Of course, BYC will get plenty of "good press" from me.
