I'm celebrating! I started out at 300 lbs, with 150 to lose. Now I'm 2/3 of the way to my goal and I just completed my first Triathlon. Swam 300 yds, biked 9 miles and ran/walked 3.1 miles. In under 1:45!!!!

Last June I looked like this.

I've tried every diet on the market, Jenny Craig, Zone, Adkins, among many others!!!

I finally found something that works for me so I crossed the finish line looking like this.

Please read the whole story.

I used to weigh 300 lbs, my doc's been trying to get me to lose weight and I've tried just about everything except surgery. Then my doc suggested Medifast. I was absolutely 100% against it! Not only was I sceptical, this stuffs been round for 28 yrs, I've heard of it before my stepmoher used a similar product (Optifast) and gained it all back all 3 times! Why should I try it, it won't work for me.... I have a family to feed, I can't afford it, I don't have time to count, measure, buy special foods...the usual.

Then I saw a friend who lost a ton of weight using this program and I thought, I should try this.
So I looked into it. Here's what I found by talking to actual people I know:
Janet had genetically high blood pressure and a heart condition. In 8 weeks she was off all her meds. All of them.
Joanne had blood sugar raging out of control, only about 20 lbs over weight, but had lost all feeing in her feet and was starting to think an amputation wasn't too far down the road. Her blood sugar is under control and her feet have feeling.
Georgia has significantly reduced her meds for blood pressure and depression.

3 for 3, ok, so I thought I would try it. I have a nearly non-existant thyroid. I was exhausted all the time, couldn't even get off the couch, couldn't lose weight no matter what, I've tried it all. I had plantar fasciitis (horribly painful foot condition). My father died from complications from diabetes after having 14 months of dialysis (Kidney failure), a kidney transplant, 4 or 5 amputation surgeries (he lost his right foot bit by bit until they took the leg off above the knee) He was 48! I have 3 kids and no desire to die at a young age.

I called my doc to tell him to prescribe it. He said I don't need a prescription, just go online and order it, I don't need to see you. (did I mention docs don't have time for questions and coaching?) So I went online and ordered, it came UPS to my door, I read everything and got started. And I was actually saving money! I was buying less groceries and because I was buying nutritious food instead of junk I didn't have half a cart of snacks everytime we went to the store. Well 2 months later I ran into Georgia. She said I looked good, I told her I was doing Medifast and she asked who was coaching me? Coaching me? There are coaches? I was battling this at home, alone. She says - "Then you're not getting the discounts either." There's discounts?!?!?! Why wasn't I told about discounts? "Because the coaching program gives you the discounts."

So not only did I become her client THAT DAY but I became a Health Coach, gained my certification and now I am coaching friends, family and total strangers all across the country. I found out the company started the coaching division because doctors don't have time to counsel thier patients and answer questions (duh, we already knew that ) but without the coaching most people don't stick to the program cause they need that support. Most people gain the weight back without coaching because they have not learned how and what to change in order to maintain thier new healthy selves.

I might add, I don't spend time in the gym. I lost the first 75 lbs without working out at all. I did use the gym to start training for the triathlon but I don't live there. I get most of my exercise by subtle changes in my normal daily activities in my home and at work. And that's what I teach my clients.

My pantar fasciitis is completly gone, no surgery, no shoe inserts, just lost weight and improved my health. My weight is coming off, 100 lbs down, 50lbs to go. I have more energy than my kids and I just completed a triathlon, which I finished in less time than either of my athletic teenage daughters

Yes, I'm a coach for this company now, wouldn't you be if all this happened to you? But that's not why I'm posting this. I'm posting this because it is so important for me to let people know that in some cases there are options. I was lucky my doctor believes in treating the cause not the symptoms. So many just keep throwing pills at the problem. I've watched so many of my clients achieve such great changes in their health, above and beyond losing weight. And I watched my own husband (who is completely resistant to anything good for him) drop his blood pressure from double what it should be to within normal ranges. I have a client who uses the products for nutritional support after cancer treatment. My kids use the products as snacks and it has really increased their energy even during the long all-day basketball playoffs. I just get so choked up when I realize how many people have been helped by this stuff.

If you won't more info you can PM me.

Thanks for reading the whole story.

Wishing you health and happiness.

Congratulations! You look good!!!!

I, too, have struggled with weight issues (used to weigh about 210 lbs) and the only thing that will do for me (and my father) is to starve. I had problems with my gall bladder and the weight came off quickly within 6 mos and boy, I was hungry but not hungry that I would be in pain. Then came the surgery, I weighed 130 lbs at 5 ft 3 inches. Kept that weight on without any beef or pork. Fast forward after five years keeping it on, my weight crimped along when I was pregnant with my DD and after that I gained all the weight on with all the medical problems I had a year after my DD was born. Then I gained up to 230 lbs and now today I am down to 217 lbs. Its a hard struggle but alot of it is due to cutbacks on processing foods and eating out. I still wont cut too much of my carbos but just keep it to a limit. I love chocolate!

Congrats and you are one brave and determined lady! Do you have a blog? If not, you should start one to blog your progress even though you would have to back track some until you are current. It's an inspiring story and with a good blog title, you will be surprised how many people will find you who need the support and inspiration that you can be. Weekly updates for you and your friends would encourage people and help them to reach out for support.

Awesome!
