I'd like to treat my birds for mites.
The only ivermectin I could find is the 10mg/mL injectable. Going through all of the threads and articles is kind of answering my questions but not really.

Can I add this to their drinking water? If so, how much? If I can't, is the next best way to put drops on the back of their necks? With this strength how many drops per pound?

Last question. Can I treat a broody OEGB while she's on eggs?

do not put it in their water .

You put it as drops on their back.

You know you have mites? Not lice?

Either one would probably be eradicated more easily with a permethrin spray.

I give it orally and the amount i use is ~0.045 ml per pound.

An my OEGB's weigh about 1 pound, so that's about two small drops.

The average sized laying hen weighs about 5 pounds, so that's ~0.23 ml (a little less than 1/4 ml).

I gave it topically once and it did treat lice.

I have not tried it in drinking water as I think it's not water soluble. Feel it, it feels oily. :idunno
