We were recently given ivermectin drops to give our chickens and it says 4 week egg withdrawal, which makes sense, but I was curious if it would be appropriate to scramble them to feed back to the chickens or if that may cause overdosing, or other harm to them? Just trying to avoid food waste, but obviously I won’t try something that’s dangerous.

My understanding is for eggs it's 7 days, for meat, 28.

There are no stone facts about this for chickens, so just going off of what I've seen most.

We've used it for SLM (scaly leg mites), and I told hubby, "No eating eggs for a week. " He did anyway, saying maybe the Ivermectin would cure something in him. :lau

I'd not worry about overdosing them though as they don't even know that it's in an egg at all, much less the amount that would reach the egg would be minuscule. Their suggested withdrawal times are just a safety precaution though.
