Ivermectin and ignorance

What I’m most concerned about (and please forgive if this repeats someone) is that human off-label consumption of ivermectin is going to get it pulled from shelves everywhere. Then it would be unavailable — or very difficult to get — for our fur/feather babies.
Reasonable concern. I don't think it will happen, but the concern is reasonable.
Makes weighing motion with hands: hmmm, “remote chance of vaccine injury?” Or “potentially suffering on a ventilator for days with Covid eventually killing me and possibly others I spent time with”.

Tough choice!
For my age and health, either would be a "remote chance". But by not taking the vax, I am certain that I won't get a vaccine injury.
Good job ignoring the vaccinated as potential spreaders.
Using that logic you should:

Never drive a car (because vehicular accidents, when they happen, cause harm)
Never eat peanuts (IF you choked on one, you might die)
Etc. Etc.

IN the context of Covid-Vax. Does the potential benefit of not taking the vaccine outweigh the potential benefit of taking the vaccine??
Straw argument. I can mitigate daily risks. I can even wear a mask,

“Good job ignoring the vaccinated as potential spreaders.”

I didn’t ignore it; I addressed it earlier. (Vaccine is not perfect protection but scientists keep working to make it better.). Getting infected while vaccinated (or un-) is NOT a choice a person can make or control.

Getting vaccinated IS. It’s a completely different situation.

OBVIOUSLY.

Sorry I missed your earlier post.

Please explain to me why "I" should get the vax. It may not/won't protect me from getting it or prevent me from spreading it. Why do I need to get it?

If your healthy and your doctor recommend it, take it! Not ignore it! I find it hilarious people who are so anti vaccine end up in the hospital for help. When the vaccine can really HELP you lessen the chance of ending up in the hospital bed. 🙄

Only ones who shouldn’t take the vaccine for serious health concern with the doctor concern.

If you are vaxed and become infected, you are FAR less likely to require hospitalization and much less likely to die from Covid.

If you combine your vaccine with other protections like wearing a face covering when indoors in crowded spaces and maintain 6 feet of distance, you are MUCH less likely to be infected with Covid while vaxed.

Other than that, yeah, there is risk. But the risk is less than if you are not vaxed. And, equally important, you are doing your part to help all of us get back to normal as soon as possible and to reduce the chances of more mutant variants causing more lockdowns.

"You" should get vaccinated when "You" have made the decision to.

As for "Why" - read this whole thread.

There are several people conducting a robust discussion into the pro's and cons of vaccination - so that you can make an "informed" choice.

That's fair

So, my informed choice is nothing? I'm only "informed" if I tow the line?

When we live in a society, we all have to make compromises for the greater good. People who drink a lot, for example, are expected to “tow the line” (if you must use that expression of a petulant child) and not drive while drunk.

People who have dogs are expected to “tow the line” and pick up their poop.

People who have children are expected to “tow the line” and provide them with education and well-being.

Resenting those expectations is not a helpful perspective.

You mean cause Property damage?

On other peoples yards? ( I know where you'll go with that).

As long as it's public school?

I don't resent, I embrace.
