Ivermectin dose for ducks?

The most you want to give is 1 mg/kg. The math for that is:

6 pounds - 6 / 2.2 x 1 / 5 = 0.55 ml topically
8 pounds - 8 / 2.2 x 1 / 5 = 0.73 ml topically

This is for the pour on only, not for the 1% injectable.

Just picked up Ivermectin...Ravynscroft, what is the dosage you use for ducks? TIA!

Dosage is in above quote... go by weight... if you need help figuring out for different wieghts, just post their weights up...

1 pound - 0.09 ml
2 pounds - 0.18 ml
3 pounds - 0.27 ml
4 pounds - 0.36 ml
5 pounds - 0.45 ml
6 pounds - 0.54ml
7 pounds - 0.63 ml
8 pounds - 0.72 ml
9 pounds - 0.81 ml
10 pounds - 0.9 ml
11 pounds = 1.0 ml
12 pounds = 1.09 ml

Okay to round up a little.

Note that these are the *max* amounts! If you follow the instructions on the label the number are half the ones shown above. Do not use less than 1/2 the amounts I have listed or it might not be as effective.

THANK YOU, both!!! One last questions...I've treated the ladies and now would like to do a permethrin spray in the run.....is this safe to do with ducks, as they drill, etc? Should I remove them when spraying and for a period to let the run dry or is that not necessary? Again, thanks so much ladies....you're saving the day over here

Permethrin is safe for ducks. Probably wise to keep them out of the pool for at least one day after treating with pour on ivermectin.

My adult Pekin is heavy open mouth breathing. 2 weeks recovering from dog attack. Wound is healing fine. Breathing problem started 5 days ago. He's been 10 days on antibiotics and then 5 days on penicillin when the breathing problems started. Can I give him ivermectin orally for deworming? And if so, how much?

If you want to de-worm you should use Safeguard or Valbazen instead.
