Will squirting a drop of liquid ivermectin onto the back neck of a chicken/pigeon eliminate feather lice? Or is ivermectin only for internal parasites?

Have you looked at Foy's or other pigeon supply houses to see what they offer. Moxivet or Scatt may be more what you are looking for to treat Pigeons. Will squirting a drop of liquid ivermectin onto the back neck of a chicken/pigeon eliminate feather lice? Jumping in on this one in case anyone can help. I read an article that says to stick to one to two drops ivermectin pour on 5% concentration for chickens, but mine are still crawling with lice days later. Should I up the dosage?
Also want to use it on my baby turkey for internal parasites.
Anyone know if that will work? Dosage? Thanks for any info!
Ivermectin can be helpful in treating Mites, but there's probably better solutions. It's not the best dewormer.
If you have mites on your Turkey(?), then use a Permethrin based poultry dust or spray. Make sure to treat housing as well.
What internal Parasites does your baby(?) Turkey have?
Do you see worms in the poop or have you had a fecal float?
How old is she?
Yes, thank you. I went ahead and answered that one as well. I should have connected that ivermectin can't work on poultry lice because they don't suck blood.Replied to your Same Question on another thread...
