Ivermectin sheep drench 0.08% dosing for chickens

Thank you! Maybe you can provide insight into why she passed? Looking back a week before she passed at a photo, I see her comb was pale (I didn’t notice at the time) 3 days later She became lethargic, very pale comb, wouldnt leave her coup and got progressively weaker and unable to walk. I brought her inside and she was still drinking and eating but couldn’t really walk. She would almost lean back like she was going to fall on her bottom. I gave her an Epsom salt soak since she had poop stuck under her vent. I didn’t feel anything hard like she was egg bound (she recently molted and hasn’t laid since before that started. She usually won’t lay again until after winter) Her feathers were all fluffed up. She had diarrhea - a lot of white and some greenish. Her croup felt like a water balloon the night before she passed. By this point she had stopped eating and drinking so I was syringe feeding her liquids. I got poultry cell and was able to syringe feed her one dose of that the night before she passed. I had also tried giving her a small dose of ivermectin as well as amoxicillin. Really tried to throw everything I could find at her as she was so loved and we didn’t want to lose her. Any insight would be greatly appreciated

There are so many things it could be. Do you still have her body? If so, do you think you could do a necropsy?

We buried her yesterday. I don’t think I could have done that :/

we started with 3 chicks as pets for my son. We Lost our little Luna to a raccoon last year and now this. My last girl Aurora is all alone now. I cleaned and disinfected the coop. Sprinkled Saturday lime (which I have always done) and sprayed permethrin to hopefully help if it was mites or something like that. I guess time will tell. I will try the ivermectin, poultry cell in water, and pick up some safeguard as you suggested.

Sorry for your losses. I would give the ivermectin & the poultry cell orally. I would not put it in her drinking water. I would alos check her for lice and mites. Do you know how to do that?

Thank you. I checked under her wings and see no signs. Behind her vent I see what seems to be dirt (she’s free range and does dirt baths daily) she’s white so it’s not unusual for her to be dirty but I’m not sure if it could be mites/lice and I’m mistaking for dirt. I tried rubbing white paper towel on the perch last night and didn’t appear to have any blood. She’s skittish right now which is unusual - and not letting me get close - so I can try to attempt checking again at night and given syringe of meds/vitamins at night.
