I should have known. For the past week or so, Scaredy has been on high alert and reluctant to make contact. Last night Uncle Jay was barking/complaining about something. Today on the way back from the Amish market a young coyote crossed the road about a half mile from home. They're back.

Such keen senses they have.

I got a pic of a coyote on my game cam, directly in front of my chicken coop, where I had burned a few feed bags. He sniffed the burnt stuff and moved on. (this time)

Still on high alert and very jumpy. Bow season has started so as soon as it cools down deer hunters should be hunting my place. They know to eliminate any coyotes they see.

Maybe you should outfit Scaredy with an orange vest. Just to be cautious.

Hey Sour, how's Scaredy doing these days?

She's doing well. She's in good flesh with a very shiny coat. She arrived here the winter of 2010/2011 so this will be her seventh winter here. I'm guessing she's about eight years old. That's good for a feral.
