Ivermectin

Toxic levels of permethrin for cats; it's both dose related, and individual tolerances. Amounts safe for dogs are not safe for cats! And some cats are sickened by levels considered safe for 'most' cats.
"Different strokes for different folks!"
Here we use permethrin spray in the coop and on the birds, and some dust in nest boxes, where at least our barn cats never go. The spray, when dry, would be okay though.

Ivermectin is a lovely drug, and easy to apply, but not approved for chickens in then USA, and many other places. It is best to stick with approved products. Spinosad is really expensive, and while the permethrin is effective here, there's no reason to go to another product.
