Someone laid a giant today. The small white egg is the typical size. The white orpington with the Breese finally laid her first egg. It's the brown one touching the pointed end of the giant egg

Glenn is on my watch list. I'm not sure what happened, but this winter has really aged him. He looks and acts like he's almost a decade instead of 10 months
Glenn ended up not making it. Didn't see anything wrong with him when I looked though, so he must have just been unsuited to the cold here.

He left the coop last night some time and he was stiff when I found him in the run. I shouldnhave known when he didn't put himself away last night.

You don’t know what breed she is? Would love to see a pic.
I'll get pics of my three girls tomorrow. All three are very different looking. Most likely possibilities are that i have 2 mystic onyx (though 1 doesnt meet the coloring that hoovers swore by) and an asian black (but with an extra toe on one side), but I honestly don't know. Tsc had the group i got these ones and BigBoy from without a breed tag and listed as st run [so i did pretty good getting 3 girls and just the one male], and mine gets their chicks from Hoover's usually.

I think that 2 lay tannish eggs and 1 lays a darker tan, or ots the other way around. They don't lay the same color my others do, and thats all I can remember.

I'm thinking I'll dye eggs though with these three so i can learn what colors each of them tend to lay

Here's some out dated pictures of the three (the red combed black one and the all black faced one in the group pic). The red combed one is rhe possible asian black and the other two are the possible Mystics. The bronzed one is the one that was really trying to go broody and hatch but was having cooking issues with them.
